Luggage Warranties

There many different warranties offered by the brands we carry. Understanding how these warranties work and what they cover is important to know when something goes wrong with your bag. Here you will find the current warranties for the brands and products that we carry in our store. Keep in mind, a manufacturer can modify their warranties at any time.

Briggs and Riley is the only luggage company that offers an unconditional lifetime guarantee. In the unlikely event that your bag needs to be repaired, we are here for you.

Our simple as that® guarantee means if your bag is ever broken or damaged, we will repair it free of charge, no proof of purchase needed, no questions asked.

  • Our warranty covers the repair of all functional aspects of your Briggs & Riley bag for the life of your bag.

  • Our warranty does not cover cosmetic wear or cleaning, damage of contents, or the replacement of lost or stolen bags and/ or its contents.

  • If your bag is damaged by an airline and you wish to hold them responsible, we suggest that you file a claim with the carrier before leaving the airport.If you choose not to do this and instead wish for us to repair your bag, we will be happy to do so at no charge.

  • Due to the nature of certain types of repairs and normal wear and tear, it is not always possible to return your bag in its original condition.

  • Due to the discontinuation of a particular part or color, identical replacement parts may not be available. Briggs & Riley will repair or replace damaged parts with the closest matching part or component in the closest matching color.

  • You are responsible for the cost of shipping your bag to us, however, we will return the favor and ship your bag back to you free of charge.

  • You also have the option to take the repair into your own hands. Take advantage of our self-repair kits.

  • You can send or bring your bag to a local Authorized Repair Center. They are located throughout the world. No repair number is needed. We recommend calling your local repair center before bringing or shipping your bag to discuss the details of your repair.

Year 1: Victorinox Total Protection Program
During the first twelve (12) months of ownership, your product is covered by the Victorinox Total Protection Program.

  • This includes manufacturing defects, normal wear and tear, airline handling and transit damage.

  • This excludes abuse, cosmetic damage (scratches on leather or on polycarbonate or stained fabrics), incidental/ consequential damage (such as damage to or loss of content of the bag, loss of use, loss of time), abrasion, solvents and accidents.

  • Note that the electronic device/function integrated in your travel product is not covered by this warranty.

    The Total Protection Program covers the repair expenses, shipping costs to and from the repair center or a replacement product (identical or equivalent value) if your product is beyond repair. Warranty repairs must be carried out at an approved Victorinox service center.

Years 2 to 11: Victorinox Quality Warranty Program
From the beginning of the second until the end of the eleventh year of ownership, your product is covered by the Victorinox Quality Warranty Program.

  • This includes manufacturing defects and normal wear and tear with the exceptions of seams, stitching, fabric and zipper tape.

  • This excludes abuse, cosmetic damage (scratches on leather or on polycarbonate or stained fabrics), incidental/ consequential damage (such as a damage to or loss of content of the bag, loss of use, loss of time), abrasion, solvents, accidents, airline handling and transit damage.

  • Note that the electronic device/function integrated in your travel product is not covered by this warranty.

You are required to either ship your product to us for repair, postage paid, or take it to a Victorinox store or a Victorinox authorized retailer. If it turns out that the repair of your bag is not covered by the warranty, your service center will contact you with an estimate including repair fees and return shipping costs.
Warranty repairs must be carried out at an approved Victorinox service center.

After 11 years
If your product is no longer within the warranty period, we offer a high-quality service at a reasonable price. If your product is “beyond repair”, we will suggest alternative options. Please contact your local service center. We will be happy to explain our different product maintenance services and how to ship your product.

First Year of Ownership: Worry Free
With limited exceptions, if your TUMI product is damaged during the first twelve (12) months you own it– including damage caused by normal wear and tear, airline handling, or other transit damage–TUMI will cover all repair expenses, including shipping costs to and from our repair facility. If we determine that the product is damaged beyond repair, we will replace it. If we determine that a replacement product is not available, we will provide you with a product of comparable value. Damages not covered are damage resulting from abuse, cosmetic damage (such as scratched leather or stained fabrics), and incidental or consequential damages, such as damage to or loss of the contents of a bag, loss of use, loss of time, or similar expenses.

Years Two through Five on travel bags, business cases, cross body bags, totes, backpacks and handbags and second year for wallets, accessories and outerwear:
You are covered for manufacturing defects and normal wear and tear.
From the second through the fifth year you own your TUMI travel item, business case or other bag, and for the second year for wallets or accessories, TUMI will repair any item that is damaged due to normal wear and tear, or defective in materials or workmanship, including any structural defects (such as defective handles, zippers, or locks). For years two through five, we do not cover damage caused by airlines or other transit damage. Damage claims in transit cases should be filed against the carrier. Other damages not covered are damage resulting from abuse, cosmetic damage (such as scratched leather or stained fabrics) and incidental or consequential damages, such as damage to or loss of the contents of a bag, loss of use, loss of time, or similar expenses. Normal wear and tear for TUMI Outerwear does not include lost or missing buttons, torn fabrics or leathers or cosmetic damage as described above.

Your only responsibility is to ship your item to us for repair, postage paid, or take it to a TUMI store or authorized TUMI dealer, who will be happy to process the repair. In some cases there may be a nominal processing fee. Many repairs can actually be handled in the TUMI store, free of charge. If your item does need to be sent to our facility, we will repair it quickly and ship it back at no additional cost to you. In those cases where our warranty does not apply, your local service center will provide you with an estimate of any repair and return shipping costs that may be incurred.

You Can Expect Years of Quality Service
We do have many customers with well-traveled bags more than five years old, that they would like to have refurbished or repaired. For these customers, we offer courteous, responsive service and the highest quality repairs and refurbishment at a reasonable cost. If we are unable to repair the bag, we will suggest alternative options. Please call your local service center before sending your product for repair or refurbishment to discuss shipping and handling costs and other fees.

Total Commitment
The bottom line is that at TUMI, we are totally committed to keeping you happy about our products and our service. Once you have had the pleasure of owning and using our products, we hope that they will become your trusted companions for life. Proof of Purchase
Please save your store receipt as proof of purchase. This will be needed to demonstrate your warranty coverage. Additionally, this will serve as proof that your purchase was made at an authorized TUMI retailer. Our Limited Warranty only applies to products that were purchased from an authorized TUMI store or dealer. If you no longer have your receipt, we may be able to use your tracer history in order to demonstrate your warranty coverage. 

Registering with the TUMI Tracer® program records the date of purchase so that your information is in our system. Should you ever need to use our repair services, we can validate if your bag is still under warranty. Not all items we make have a tracer number, but most of our luggage, bags, and business cases do. If the item in question is not registered with TUMI Tracer® it will be your responsibility to provide proof of purchase at an authorized TUMI retailer. Please see our tracer registration page for more details regarding tracer registration. Please note: In Hong Kong, Macau, China, Japan and Korea, TUMI Tracer® is not valid for Proof of Purchase. You will need the original store receipt to validate purchase is from an authorized TUMI retailer.

This warranty gives you certain rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.

NO MATTER WHAT™ WARRANTY
In addition to covering workmanship and materials against defect for the entire life of the product. The No Matter What™ Warranty covers repair or replacement due to product failure during the product lifetime, regardless of the cause. During this period, we will repair or replace it at our discretion.

LIFETIME WARRANTY
Our Lifetime Warranty covers workmanship and materials against defect, for the entire life of the product. During this period, if the product is covered by the warranty, we will repair or replace it at our discretion. ‘Lifetime’ is defined as the lifetime of the product not of the purchaser.

WHICH WARRANTY COVERS MY PRODUCT?
The Eagle Creek No Matter What™ Warranty covers luggage, duffels, packs, and shoulder bags. The Lifetime Warranty covers Pack-It® organizers and all accessories. The warranty that covers each product is identified on the product hangtag and in the product description on this website.

While Paradise Baggage is not an authorized repair center for Eagle Creek, we will gladly hep you get your bag repaired at our location for a fee or help you get your bag shipped off to them for repair.

The warranty provided herein applies only to the first purchaser or gift recipient of the Product. The duration of the warranty is stated on the warranty card inside the Product and/or in the list of Product features on our website.

BRIC’S WARRANTY:

  • 5-year warranty on all wheeled products (spinners, rolling duffles) and products purchased in North America and at bricstore.com

  • 2-year warranty on all item without wheels (handbags, backpacks, wallets, accessories etc.)

WARRANTY VALIDITY:
BRIC’S requires that the customer use only an authorized BRIC’S Repair Partner for warranty repairs. Improper or incorrectly performed maintenance or repairs void the warranty.

BRIC’S Limited Warranty only applies to products purchased from an authorized BRIC’S store or dealer.

BRIC’S warranty does not cover deterioration due to use, damage caused to the product due to improper use (example: carrying unusual objects), heat exposure, contact with acids or solvents, water infiltration, or damage caused in the course of transportation.

BRIC’S warranty does not cover damage caused by airline carriers. When retrieving luggage after a flight or train journey, please check it carefully and, if it had been mishandled, immediately file a claim with the airline. Most major airlines are prepared to cover damaged caused due to mishandled luggage.

Under the Thule Guarantee, Thule will warranty all Thule branded products under the original purchaser, during its specified time frame listed below, and for products manufactured by Thule. The warranty terminates if the product’s owner fails to present this Term of Warranty when requesting repairing services from Thule, under the terms provided herein.

Subject to the limitations and exclusions described in this warranty, Thule will remedy defects in materials or workmanship by making the necessary repairs within thirty days without charge for parts or labor. In addition, if it is not possible to remedy the defects, Thule will replace the product, the consumer may elect to receive a refund equal to the purchase price paid for the product, or, a credit to be used toward the purchase of a new Thule product in the same category.

This Thule warranty coverage does not, under any circumstances, cover any damage to non-Thule products used in conjunction with Thule products.

No warranty is given for defects caused by normal wear and tear, scratches, accidents, modifications or any types of repair other than those authorized by Thule.

No warranty is given for defects resulting from conditions beyond Thule’s control including, but not limited to, misuse, overloading, or failure to assemble, mount or use the product in accordance with Thule’s written instructions or guidelines included with the product or made available to the purchaser.

In the event that a product is defective, the purchaser should contact the Thule dealer from whom the product was purchased. If the dealer is not able to correct the defect, the purchaser should contact Thule in writing.

In the event that the product needs to be returned, a representative from Thule will provide the purchaser with the appropriate mailing address and any additional instructions. Please note that the purchaser will be responsible for mailing the product to Thule, with proof of purchase in the form of an original purchase invoice or receipt, and with a detailed description of the defect. The mailing costs will be refunded by Thule, upon presentation of the related mailing receipts.

Disclaimer of Liability: Repair or replacement of a defective product or the issuance of a refund or credit (as determined by Thule) is a purchaser’s exclusive remedy under this warranty. Damage to a purchaser’s property or other person is excluded. This warranty is expressly made in lieu of any and all other warranties, express or implied, including the warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, but excepting the warranties which are expressly provided by law.

Thule’s sole liability to any purchaser is limited to the remedy set forth above. In no event will Thule be liable for any lost profits, lost sales, or for any consequential, direct, indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or punitive damages or for any other damages which were not directly and clearly caused by a defecting product.
